Facing 236,000 annual drowning incidents worldwide, Plouf Academy set itself a clear mission: to reduce drowning risks, particularly for the youngest.
Every year in France, an average of 1,480 drowning incidents are recorded, of which 385 occur in swimming pools. Even more alarming, 22% involve children under 5 years old.
To address this urgency, our experts designed the Plouf Method: a pedagogical, progressive and secure approach that allows everyone – child and adult alike – to learn the right techniques, with pleasure and without fear.
Our Mission: Reduce drowning risks.
Give your child the right reflexes for a safe life around water.
The Plouf Method is not just about learning to swim: it's a true prevention program, designed for parents concerned about their children's well-being. Structured, illustrated and easy to implement, it guides you step by step to accompany your child from their first contact with water.
Through a fun and progressive approach, it enables each child to:
- become familiar with the aquatic environment without apprehension,
- progress at their own pace, in confidence and respect for their abilities,
- develop essential safety reflexes to prevent drowning risks.
Designed to be used at home or as a complement to aquatic activities, the Plouf Method is a clear, reassuring and accessible tool for all parents.
Because learning to feel comfortable in water starts well before learning to swim.
